Sunchokes are coming this week! Not the easiest to peel, but still a fun CSA find. Try them roasted in a simple salad like this one.

Hi Members,

It's our last pickup of the winter season! Thank you for joining us in another season of fresh, local produce. But don't worry, our summer CSA is right around the corner and the registration deadline has extended to May 12!

Sign up now for a summer and fall CSA share

If you've already registered, add-ons such as fruit, meat, dairy and pantry items are now available!

Update your membership to include add-ons

We also need volunteers this week in the 2:30-4:30 unloading slot. There are currently no volunteers signed up for this shift! It's your last chance to volunteer for the season. If you can help out, email us at info@washingtonsquarecsa.com or just come to the church.

Can #RecipeForDisaster Help Us Stop Wasting So Much Food?

The statistics are familiar — roughly one third of the food produced for human consumption is lost or wasted — almost half of all the fruits and vegetables we grow. At the same time, almost a billion people around the world go hungry.
A new social media campaign from the World Food Programme (WFP) wants you to turn food waste from a recipe for disaster into a, well, #RecipeForDisaster. However, #RecipeforDisaster isn’t the first social campaign to draw awareness to food waste, and in our age of constant stimulation, it’s hard to keep anyone’s attention for too long — even on issues as pressing as food waste.
